DB2L Command Now Displays the Db2 Code Level
As part of continuous improvements to the CA Database Management Solutions for DB2 for z/OS, the global primary command DB2L has been enhanced to display the code level. The previous Db2 tools community blog about DB2L global primary command is here.
The DB2L global primary command lets you display Db2 continuous delivery runtime values catalog level, function level, prior function level in case of fallback, and now code level. It also displays the catalog/function or version/mode values that have been specified in the SETUPxx CDBAPARM member, which need to be in sync with the runtime values. This feature helps you to identify problems with mismatched SETUPxx and runtime values more easily.
The DB2L command can be executed in both online and batch environments.
Online
As DB2L is a global primary command, it can be used from (almost) any product panel within the CA Database Management Solutions for DB2 for z/OS.
