We are pleased to announce the availability of Release 20.0 Genlevel INC00 of the CA Database Management Solutions for DB2 for z/OS. This release is an incremental release that allows us to provide new product features more quickly to customers. The release consists of two phases:
Incremental Phase
- During the incremental phase, our product development teams work closely with customers to create new features. As the incremental phase progresses, new product features and defect fixes are added to the release through the maintenance stream as PTFs. Customers are expected to keep current on all available maintenance.
Note: See New Product Features and Enhancements in the CA Database Management Solutions for DB2 for z/OS Release Notes documentation for a list of new features by product. This documentation will be updated as new features are added.
Complete Phase
- The incremental release phase transitions to the complete phase and is called a GA Complete Release. The GA Complete Release includes all new features and maintenance cumulatively that were introduced during the incremental phase.
You can participate in the incremental release phase or wait for the GA complete release phase. For more information about these phases and the advantages and disadvantages for your site, see Is an Incremental Release Right for You?
Important! We recommend that customers who are moving to DB2 12 Continuous Delivery Support upgrade to this release. Release 19.0 of the CA Database Management Solutions for DB2 for z/OS only supports DB2 function levels V12R1M100 and V12R1M500.
For detailed installation instructions, see the Installing documentation.
