    Hello fellow CA Dispatch users!

In case you were not aware of it, a NEW command was recently created for CA Dispatch and made available through CA Dispatch r11.7 apar RO71200. The new command is called the "DSOPTN" command and it gets issued at the CA Dispatch "ENTER NEXT TASK CODE" prompt. The output resulting from the DSOPTN command will provide information on the SECURITY settings that a client has in place, as well as information on what SPECIAL FEATURES they have installed, and what the Special Features values are set to.

For a sample of the DSOPTN command output as well as the documentation updates created for the new command, please refer to:

RI71775 - DOC - INST: NEW SECURITY AND FEATURE DISPLAY COMMAND

RI71773 - DOC - SPG: NEW SECURITY AND FEATURE DISPLAY COMMAND

    RI71577 - DOC - MSG: NEW DC900550 MESSAGE ADDED

Clients should consider downloading and applying apar RO71200 as a PROACTIVE action item. After applying the apar, follow the instructions on RO71200 for running the supplied DSEXDOPT job to implement the CADSDOPT program.

Output from the new diagnostic command may prove useful to CA Support and help them expedite a resolution to your security or Special Feature related questions or problems.

Thanks for your time and best regards,

    Scott London
