    Good morning to you all!

We have currently had this question:

Does CA Pan/SQL PAN/SQL run on Z/OS 2.1?  Are any apars required?

    Please know:

There are no apars for CA Pan/SQL specifically regarding z/OS for any level of z/OS.

We do currently have the following apars available for CA Pan/SQL :

    1.  ADD SUPPORT FOR DB2 BIGINT DATA TYPE RO78062
    2.  ADD SUPPORT FOR DB2 BIGINT DATA TYPE RO77666

    3.  SQL RELEASE ALL PRIVATE UNSUPPORTED IN DB2V RO20082
    (DB2 v10 and above)
    4.  STATIC HOST VARIABLES DEFINED 10 P 15 OR HI RO05809
    (only needed for STATIC programs)
    5.  -302 AND/OR NAMES >18 CHARS NOT RECOGNIZED QO93564
    6.  OVERLAY OF FIELD BEFORE SET CURRENT :HOSTVA QO81778
    7.  LOOP OR S0C4 IN STATIC PROGRAM (V7 & ABOVE QO81095
    (only needed for STATIC programs)

These apars are available under Support Online under the Download Center.

You can run CA Pan/SQL 2.4C with z/OS 2.1 without the above apars.

But, we recommend applying the maintenance which is available so that you will not experience the problems resolved by the above apars and will

have the capability to have the DB2 BIGINT data type functionality supported.

Thanks and Best Regards - Have a wonderful Tuesday!
