LU03433 - Compatibility support for IBM CICS Transaction Server (TS) version 6.1 ETP17 OPEN BETA
In addition to CICS TS 6.1 ETP17 Open Beta support, the following enhancements were added:
- SYSVIEW users will be able to set thresholds and monitor additional metrics, as updates were made to monitor and collect data for
- CICS JVM Servers
- CICS File
- CICS task control blocks (TCBs) Pool
- CICS IP Socket
- Users will be able to
- view and compare CICS data conversion definitions via a new command CDFHCNV.
- view defined CICS region tagging using CTAGS command. CICS regions can be tagged to help identify the purpose of the region. This command requires CICS TS 6.1 or higher.
Both of the above commands will allow users to view data from one CICS region (REGION), multiple CICS regions in the same LPAR (SYSTEM), or multiple LPARs (XSYSTEM).
- Users will be able to view shared class cache free and size fields on CJVMSERV command.
- Configuration for APM-only SYSVIEW installations was simplified. This simplification will create a better out-of-the-box configuration experience for APM-only SYSVIEW users.
