Is there a metric that monitors the number of hits to a VSAM file in a certain amount of time?
It is a very good question and today there is no metrics for this available.
From a BROADCOM / CA SYSVIEW standpoint there currently isn't a metric that monitors the number of hits to a VSAM file in a certain amount of time.
Encontrei as seguintes métricas no VARS. Vou testar algumas delas :
FILEUSE tran terminal Files used FCPREQS tran terminal File requests FCPTIME tran terminal File I/O wait time FILEADDS tran file File ADD requests FILEBRWS tran file File BROWSE requests FILEDEL tran file File DELETE requests FILEREAD tran file File READ requests FILEREQS tran file File requests FILERUPD tran file File READ for UPDATE reFILESPLT tran file File SPLIT count FILETHWM tran file File request time HWM FILETIME tran file File request time FILEUPD tran file File UPDATE requests
Let us know if that satisfy your request.
It didn't meet my need. I need to monitor the performance of VSAM files in my environment and generate alerts in some situations. For example:When the number of hits to a given VSAM is reached, generate an alert with TRAP submission.
I noticed that there is the VSAM command, but it is not bringing me any information.
