CA IDMS Pass Ticket Support
Greg Beedy –
Sr. Principal Product Manager
CA Technologies
A PassTicket is effectively a single-use, time-limited, temporary password. It is created by an authorized program (not CA IDMS) explicitly for a particular user and application. When the external security system processes a sign on attempt and the password is invalid, it then checks to see if the alleged password is actually a valid PassTicket for the specified application and user and if so, it allows the sign on attempt to proceed.

Big Data and Your Mainframe
Sheila Miller –
CA Technologies
Big Data is transforming information use in organizations. But is Big Data a new concept? The buzzword is new but most of technologies are not; they have evolved and are combined to manipulate massive amounts of data, at the right speed at the right time. Big Data projects can include any data sources that share the characteristics of Volume, Velocity, and Variety, allowing for real-time analysis and better business decisions for your business. Maybe your mainframe has some items for the next Big Data project?
