In FJOB command, though I have used TRIG=D option still I am not getting list of Job trigger by file outside CA7..?  What ever listed out is not actually triggered by dataset.   How I can find list of Jobs which trigger by dataset or file from outside CA7

Hi Rakesh, I moved this over to our Mainframe Workload Automation space so that our Workload team will see it.

    Thanks,

     Rakesh

The FJOB command with TRIG=D option will show all jobs that are triggered by a data set created by a job what qualified for the forecast specified.

When you define a data set trigger to CA 7, it does not know how the data set was created, it just triggers based off the SMF type 15 record being posted to the database.

So, right off had I can't think of of a way to get a list of jobs that are triggered by an external data set. But let me think about this a bit... I will update this post next week.

    btw... good question....

    Rakesh,

I found the following command that will list out external data set. If it dataset trigger a job you will see "AUTO" in the DSTYPE column.

I recommend you run this in batch because it could be a lot of output. This command will not list the job it triggers, just showing that it triggers a job.

    LDSN,DSNBR=DS*,LIST=EXTL

The following command will show all data set and the job it triggers:

LCTLG,DSN=AUTO.      (there is a period at the end of the command)

    I hope this help....
