Stark,
In CSF, you can use the PR (Presentation) command to arrange your columns. If you use designators like "A" and "B" to sort the column. I have a view that looks like this:
Field Sort Sort Pres Pres Pres
Description Order Seq Order Len Title
Account Number ===>
Agent Name ===> 6
Appl Def Seq ===>
Appl Generation ===> 5B
Appl Name ===> 4A
In this example, my appl names are listed in alphabetical order first, then sorted by generation number.
For more information about Presentation Sort order:

https://docops.ca.com/ca-workload-automation-esp-edition/11-4/en/operating/customize-your-views/freeform-filter-syntaxIn Director, each view gets its own "Sort" tab that you can use to sort the view by "Generation Number"
Hope this helps!

Subject: Filter to show most recent n generations?
Is there a way in CSF and/or director to show only the most recent N generations.
We don't want to filter on a specific generation, as that would change every day.
