Tech Tips: What are the valid characters for the Endevor Inventory names - Environment, System, Subsystem, Type, Processor Group?

• Uppercase and lowercase letters A through Z
• Numbers 0 through 9
• National characters:
  • At sign @
  • Dollar sign $
  • Pound sign #

 

Note: The following hexadecimal representations are recognized as the U.S. National characters:

@ as  X'7C'

$  as  X'5B'

# as  X'7B'

 

In countries other than the U.S., the U.S. National characters represented on terminal keyboards might generate a different hexadecimal representation and cause an error.  For example, in some countries, the $ character might generate a X'4A'.
