  • 1.  Does CA Gen support security PassPhrase?

    I have not found anything (yet) in my searches of CA Support, techdocs, or Communities to indicate whether CA Gen supports the passphrase for secure access.

    Our host environment is z/OS, CICS, DB2, and we use TCP Direct Connect to communicate between Windows GUI clients and CICS servers.

    We are on a CE (HE on z/OS):
    TIRSECV
    CLIENT-PASSWORD
    input
    A 64-byte field containing a copy of the password sent by the client.

    I must admit I was focussed on the 100 positions. Don't know if a pass phrass (with all its characteristics like spaces)​ of 64 positions is currently accepted.

    Correct. Gen does not currently support PassPhrase. We are watching the ideation request votes to see when/if this becomes a greater need for the Gen community. Doug, I see you've voted for this idea. Thank you for that!
