    PTF LU03584 - CAACSEND Utility

    Alert Central (AC) is a new alert management solution that is distributed with OPS/MVS 14.0.  AC enhances OPS/MVS functionality by providing insightful information about mainframe alerts and reduces time to resolve problems.  Key features of AC are:

    • Consolidates alerts using an intuitive and modern web interface
    • Empowers users with meaningful data around alerts, including historical information
    • Integrations with OPS/MVS 14.0, NetMaster 12.2 and SYSVIEW 16.0, and available APIs to support additional products
    • Streamlines existing workflows for problem identification, investigation, and incident resolution
    • Enables interaction between data center operations staff and SMEs for faster problem handover and escalation
    • Includes an auto-ticketing feature with interfaces to seven service management solutions

    To help drive AC 1.0 product adoption, customers want the ability to send alerts from other z/OS-based sources such as batch jobs, TSO, third-party products, and lower-level Broadcom product releases like OPS/MVS 13.5.  The CAACSEND Utility provides these capabilities.
