CA Automation Point (AP) has a component called HAF which receives SNMP traps from your mainframe HMC and translates the messages contained within the traps to human readable format using the HMC SNMP API.
We've been getting quite a few Automation Point customers reporting the "HAFI9999S HAF error - please contact CA Support to obtain a new HAF template" error messages lately that are mostly false positives, i.e these are not genuine error messages that require us to create a new HAF template. So what we've done is created this knowledge doc to help AP users examine your logs and determine if the error message is a false alarm or not.
