  • 1.  Does CA have a similar product that provides same functions as DB2 Connect? Does CA Vision have a similar product in its product line?

    Looking for a similar product from CA that would replace DB2 Connect? Does CA have one. Anything with CA Vision that could replace DB2 Connect?

    Hello Dennis,

     

    The CA DB2 tools suite for z/OS does not have a product with similar function as DB2 Connect.

     

    I do see a CA VISION:Results Interface to DB2 but not certain if this contains the same functionality

    as DB2 Connect.

    Can you elaborate on the reason for this request?
    Why are you seeking an equivalent product to Db2 Connect ?

    Hello Dennis,

     

    The feedback received from Product Management is that we currently do not have a direct product replacement 

    for DB2 Connect.

     

    The following was noted in the communication:

     

    IBM recommends switching to Db2 Connect Client:
