Support for DB2 for LUW and then...

Dear Community.

 

We were asked more than once to support DB2 for LUW and other(MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle, ...).

We expect minor problems with Software from other Vendors, because they are responsible to maintain their objects.

 

Our Application Development(AE) isn't ask to create scripts to "release" their own objects.

 

With a view from costs and functionality their is the need to evaluate other than z/OS-DBMS'se.

We didn't find any Software like R/C-Migrator for all of the other platforms.
Ok, there is

• IBM's DataStudio, but with a lot manually work
  - Export/Import
  - comparison of source and target DDL

 

And we've heard at German's CADUG about "agile development"

 

So my questions are:
- Which opinion has the Community to this topic?

- Who has the need to support Non-Z DBMS also?
