We are looking into turning on auditing for specific tables in the shop and using MICS to report on this. I am new to MICS and cannot find any specific detail. I see MICS reports on the processing of these records and there looks to be a way to turn this on.

    1. Is there a manual that discusses this in detail?
    2. Has anyone implemented this previously?
    3. Does MICS have standard reporting that supports these audit records?
    4. These tables is heavily accessed, so my understanding there could be a huge volume of SMF records.

    Thanks,

    Tennie

    Hi Tennie-
Scott Barry here...well, you are back working with MICS again....after so many years!

Regarding your question, MICS DB2 ANALYZER no longer supports DB2 PERFORMANCE TRACE data (that being SMF type 102) which is what I believe you're after. It did so long ago but support was dropped in order to focus on SMF 100/101 data sources, in particular DB2 ACCOUNTING TRACE.

You will need to use MXG and its %READDB2 macro functionality - have a look at your site's MXG SOURCLIB member READDB2 -- also, review/check-out the MXG-L list server ARCHIVEs.
