  • 1.  CA-SORT : Split File

    Hello,  I hope I post in the right section.I am a French analyst, and i have to deal with a 100 Gb file on MVS 1.9  I'm using CA-SORT 7.1, i have to split this file in ten file of 10 Gb each.While reading the CA-SORT 7.1 Programmer Reference Guide, it seems I cannot perform this in one and only step, i tried this syntax :  SORT FIELDS=COPY
      OUTFIL FILES=01,ENDREC=800000
      OUTFIL FILES=02,STARTREC=800001,ENDREC=1600000
      OUTFIL FILES=03,STARTREC=1600001,ENDREC=2400000
      OUTFIL FILES=04,STARTREC=2400001,ENDREC=3200000
      OUTFIL FILES=05,STARTREC=32000001,ENDREC=4000000
      OUTFIL FILES=06,STARTREC=4000001,ENDREC=4800000
      OUTFIL FILES=07,STARTREC=4800001,ENDREC=5600000  With no concluant result, do i have necessarily to make on step by file by using this kind of SYSIN ?    SORT FIELDS=COPY,STARTREC=800001,ENDREC=1600000 ....    Thanks for your help

    The Global Output Management Community does not contain the CA Sort solution. You can call CA Support to find out if there is a community for that solution. The products covered here are CAView, CA Deliver, CA Dispatch, CA Spool, CA OM Web Viewer and CA Easytrieve.
