Hi,
This is going to DB2 and IBM-MAIN newsgroups because of the nature of the
question. I'm hoping that someone reading either group can answer this.
We're connecting to a mainframe using DB2 Connect going through a DRDA
gateway. I believe we're using the ODBC drivers and APPC. The Mainframe
uses Computer Associates Top Secret for security. It is setup to change the
password every 20 days. If you log-in through a terminal program, you get a
message that says "your new password is...". When we go through DB2
connect, we can't capture this message.
Is there a was that DB2 connect can catch the password, too, and we're just
missing it? Obviously, that would be the simplest answer.
Otherwise, if we can determine when the password was changed (ie. in the
last 30 seconds), then we could issue a new password change request, and
feed it a random password. We were wondering if this can be done using a
stored procedure or anything else.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks.
