Scenario:
When attempt to connect using CA Datacom SQL Web Connect Version 14.0 via ODBC, the following error message results:
[CA]ODBC CA DATACOM/DB Driver] [CA]ODBC CA DATACOM/DB]UNEXPECTED ENGINE
ERROR: 01(175)
Also, the CA Datacom Multi-user (MUF) log shows the following messages:
DB02405I - PXX START OBRS14W 51550 01(175) QDELP-0- D-1 00000001
DB02406I - PXX END - SQL COMMAND - SQL NOT INSTALLED
The Datacom RC 01(175) means that an SQLMODE command is being attempted against a MUF without the SQLMODE option specified.
Resolution:
The CA Datacom SQL Web Connect requires the MUF startup options to enable the Datacom SQL component:
DATACOM SQLWEBCON
SQLDEFAULT 016,CASQLDEFAULT
SQLOPTION YES,017,DATACOM,120,NO
SYSTEMDBID 1000
Assure that the above startup options are added to the MUF startup, recycle the MUF and retry.
