I am thinking about implementing Change Tracking but was wondering if it’s worth it.

I have had to fall back to the old DMCL and redo my changes but it's so rare it did not seem like a big deal.

Does anyone have any opinions either way?

Are there any issues with Change Tracking?

I do not have Change Tracking implemented.

I see it as a tool to recover quicker from unexpected outages, so in a 24x7 environment where an outage means lost revenue, it would really be beneficial.

For the rest of us, it could mean being able to start the CV during the first try vs. restoring the DMCL to do a restart.

If you have a habit of dynamically switching your database files to new datasets without updating the DMCL then you may want to look into it as well.

That is how I understand it, in 31 years I have not had a change that fouled up the system so bad that it could not start with either the old or the new dmcl.
