  • 1.  Daily plan in CA-7

    Hello everyone,

I have always worked with schedulers other than CA-7, but soon I will start doing it with CA-7.

In the installation that CA-7 uses, they tell me that it does not have an expansion of the daily plan, as it is done with other schedulers. Is this generic for all installations with CA-7?

    thanks and best regards,

    Davagar

    Hi David,

I am unclear as to what you mean by "expansion of the daily plan".  Can you please explain.

    Thanks, Roderick (CA Support)

In some schedulers, a job is responsible for scheduling in the queue the jobs that must be executed that day. And so every day. Otherwise, nothing would be executed.

In the new client that I'm going to work, they tell me that CA-7 does not work that way.

    Thanks RODERICK

Ok, I see what you saying. CA 7 schedule scan (SSCAN) mechanism brings jobs in incrementally throughout the day based on scheduling criteria. It is not a once a day run that dumps all the days workload into the queue.
