Can the latest and greatest version of CA Workload Automation(Autosys) do some of the functions of iDash when it comes to alerting that jobs and jobstreams are running LATE?

    Hi Michael,

     

    Autosys can't be predictive. There are only MAX_RUN,  MUST_COMPLETE and MUST_START alarms. So with Autosys, we can detect a delayed job when it happens. Idash can anticipate.

    Hi Michael,

     

    It depends on what kind of functionality you are looking for. As already answered you can use MAX_RUN,  MUST_COMPLETE and MUST_START alarms on critical jobs so that you get alerted even before the flow is completed.

     

    In Idash we have critical path calculated dynamically. This can predict if the job will meet is SLA based on the predecessor jobs. This functionality is not available in Autosys.
