  • 1.  Can CA7 Run A Script on a Different Windows 2012 Server?

    Greetings,

We want to install  CA7 on a Windows 2012R2 Server; let's call it ServerA. Because of the architecture of an application built by a 3rd-party vendor, we would like the ability for the CA7 scheduler on ServerA to execute scripts that are stored on ServerB.

    1. Does CA7 run on Windows Server 2012?

    2. If CA7 works on Windows Server 2012, is it possible to execute a script stored on a different Windows server?

    Hi Jon,

CA 7 itself only runs on the mainframe and it has the ability to schedule work to a Windows Server running the CA Workload Automation Agent. The agent is able to executes scripts that are accessible to the server.
