Hello Andy,
I was just going to update the Support case you opened for this question.
Currently the design of CA Deliver is to only show the definitions that a user is authorized for.
CA View is showing a list of actual sysout.
So to make searches more efficient, CA View allows you to see the list of sysout regardless of whether or not you would be allowed to actually see the sysout if you selected it.
CA Deliver does the authorization up front.
You could certainly add an IDEA to this Community for an enhancement. But there is no way in the product currently, to show the list and then check authorization when a definition is selected.

Subject: Deliver External Security
Hi,
We are thinking about implementing Deliver External security instead of our current AUTHTAB.However, the manual warns about excessive security calls if someone inst specific about the object they wish to list.
e.g.J
instead ofJ OBOO1*
Is there a way to limit this potential for excessive security calls by working like View does with the SECLIST parameter allowing it to just do the security check when viewing actual object as opposed to everything in the list?
Many Thanks
Andy
