    Specifically, is anyone using ChangeMan to perform the compiles of Gen COBOL code?

    Hi Doug,

    We have a number of customers using GuardIEn with our ChangeMan interface to perform builds of Gen code.

    Without recognising that the model is the source in the Gen environment, managing Gen code in any "source control tool" is very problematic. GuardIEn is our Gen specific Configuration Management tool. We recognised sometime ago that larger organisations have a mix of development tools being used and that another CM tool may be the overall "master" CM tool. To this end, we have interfaces between GuardIEn and most popular "source control tools" available. Have a look at our website and contact us should you need further information.

    Hi Doug,

     

    Further to Kevin's reply just to add that the GuardIEn->Changeman ZMF interface is compatible with all supported levels of ZMF (including the latest 8.1 release from Serena) and is supported using either a Host or a Client/Server Encyclopaedia as the source location for the CA Gen models.
