CA NetMaster Network Management documentation is now available at docops.ca.com. The content on DocOps is updated regularly to reflect new product features and enhancements. CA Technologies no longer updates the PDF Bookshelf documentation on the Support website.
The advantage is that you have NetMaster manuals which are updated whenever needed and not only when a new Release of NetMaster is introduced.
You might feel that DocOps has the disadvantage of providing small snippets of text with the need to click back- and forward to see other sections of the document but never the complete chapter or manual. But you can still create a PDF- or ePub-Document from DocOps for offline use (ePub is an XML-based e-book publishing format standard, the file content is expressed as .epub). You can choose to download the complete document or only a Section.
Here is how to do that:
- Log on to docops.ca.com
- In field “Navigate to a space” enter the string ‘netmaster’ and then select the desired product, for example Netmaster for TCP/IP 12.2:
- Now you see all documents which are available for that product:
- Here you select the manual you want to use as PDF- or EPUB-format by clicking on the title. Then you see that document. Here we clicked on the Administering Guide:
To download that manual in PDF- or EPUB-format click on the appropriate button and you get it downloaded!
- You also can download a specific section of a document as PDF or EPUB. To do that, go to that secion and then click on PDF or EPUB. Then you will get a document downloaded which only contains that desired section. Here you see the section “Setting Up MIB Definitions” from the Administration Guide which can be downloaded by clicking on PDF or EPUB:
