  • 1.  CA OPS/MVS Tuesday Tip: The new sample PROC ARCHPROC for releases 12.2 and 12.3 contains JCL errors

The new OPSLOG Archive product feature, first introduced under release 12.2, contains errors that are fully documented in PIB RI79148.
To remediate these known problems, CA Technologies has developed the following PTFs:

    PTF     Release
    RO81809 12.2
    RO82147 12.3

Upon fixes installation, a sample of the new PROC is provided in the CCLXCNTL(ARCHPROC) library.
The release 12.2 sample contains a JCL error caused by the PARM card not starting between columns 4 and 16.
If you are using the 12.3 release there is missing a ‘/’ character in the same PARM card.

To resolve these JCL errors, proceed to install the following PTFs:

    PTF     Release
    RO82494 12.2
    RO82499 12.3

Thanks for your continued support to our product and its new features.
