Configure SSL Web Portal for Symantec CCS11 Enzo

In this article, I'll showcase you how to configure Symantec Control Compliance Suite 11.0 Web Portal with SSL

When fistly you lauch Symantec CCS11 Web Portal it runs on port 80 (HTTP).

 

 

To configure Symantec CCS11 Web portal to SSL go to Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager 7 or 7.5

Open IIS Manager and click on the name of the server in the Connections column on the left.

In Features view, double-click Server Certificates.

 

In the Actions pane, click Create Self-Signed Certificate.

 

After clicking ‘Self-Signed Certificate’ specify a friendly name for the certificate then click ‘OK’.

 

After clicking ‘OK’ you can see the certificate as shown below that web server use with the web sites configured for SSL.

 

After creating ‘self-Signed certificate’ you need to bind that certificate to default site.

For that you need to go-to connections column on the left, expand the sites folder and click on the Default Web Site.

Click on ‘Bindings’ in the right column.

 

After clicking Binding, Site binding’s box will appear as below. Click on ‘Add’ button.

 

Change the Type to https and then select the SSL certificate that you just installed. Click OK.

 

You will now see the binding for port 443 listed. Click Close.

 

After binding the certificate to port 443 you need to verify SSL Configuration for CCS Web Console.

Click on Browse *:443 in the right column

Now, you can see CCS Web portal is successfully running on SSL with HTTPS protocol.
