    sometimes i hate my job

     

    installed workflow 7.1 last week on my workflow server and and also on a new SMP 7.1 sever last week. I ran SIM  this week and it looks like a minor upgrade happened. Had to do this to get the Workflow Solution installed in the SMP 7.1 correctly

     

    Now I have a workflow Version mismatch when I validate my server

    Local SMP Workflow version is '7.1.1400.28' but server 'xxxxxxxxxxx' is '7.1.1400.27'. Local SMP should have the same version of Workflow as all servers in Environment.

    You have to have the same version of WF on both the SMP and WF servers "under" the SMP if they want to talk via Enterprise Management. Just take the updated Workflow installer and run an upgrade of the WF server on the SMP.

    I know but only 3 days difference to do  .0001 upgrade?

    Hi,

    i am having the same issue and I've looked in SIM for an update to no avail. I have downloaded the Altiris.ServiceDesk.7_1.exe from SMP but it is still complaining about the different version levels.  Aargh!!!

    I had to re download the AltirisServiceDesk7.1.exe from SMP - copy over to my SD server. rerun install as a upgrade in order for it to be same version

    ok during production install today I get the same issue! so it is not related to versioning. It is a symantec issue created during the install. I call this bad packaging at this point

    so the only reason this could be happening is that I installed servicedesk from the download on the SMP.

    then Workflow does its check - I have to download workflow from SMP and do a upgrade.

     

    This means the Worflow that is packaged or downloaded with the service desk install is off one minor version!
