Hi Spectrumers,
This is a quick technical tip on how to enable CA App eXperience Analytics (AXA) for CA Spectrum WebClient and OneClick Console
Disclaimer: I am a Presales Consultant and performed this integration in a lab environment. I recommend trying out this implementation first in a test environment and to make a copy of all the JSP files before modifying them
You will need the following:
- The snippet from CA AXA
- Write access to the Tomcat folder tree on the Spectrum host
- Permission to take an outage on the Spectrum
- Access to restart the SpectroServer
Follow the instructions below to modify the WebClient and OneClick JSP pages to collect availability data in AXA
I- WebClient snippet insertion
1-Login to the SpectroServer server
2-Navigate to the webclient folder typically C:\win32app\Spectrum\tomcat\webapps\spectrum\webclient. You need to modify the header, index and logout JSP files.
3.Open (in a text editor):
C:\win32app\Spectrum\tomcat\webapps\spectrum\webclient\header.jsp
C:\win32app\Spectrum\tomcat\webapps\spectrum\webclient\index.jsp
C:\win32app\Spectrum\tomcat\webapps\spectrum\webclient\logout.jsp
4-Locate the <head> </head> tags and insert the AXA snippet in that html section
5-Save and close the file
II- OneClick snippet insertion
1-If you want to instrument the OneClick pages as well navigate to the Spectrum folder typically C:\win32app\Spectrum\tomcat\webapps\spectrum\
You need to modify the index file
2-Open (in a text editor):
C:\win32app\Spectrum\tomcat\webapps\spectrum\index.jsp
3-Locate the <head> </head> tags and insert the AXA snippet in that html section
4-You can also do the same for the OneClick Administration tab:
Open:
C:\win32app\Spectrum\tomcat\webapps\spectrum\admin\index.jsp
And reiterate the same process
Final step: Restart the SpectroServer
