Tech Tip - Admin Console GUI opening very slow

If you experience Admin Console GUI opening very slow, please try this steps.

 

Note

I wrote down this tip based on what was witnessed with the below probes.

 

snmpcollector

aws

vmware

icmp

 

1) If hub (which manages to its probe running robot) do not have distsrv probe, deploy it.

2) Then, DO NOT let above distsrv have its probe package.

 

Bad example 1.

 

snmpcollector running in a secondary hub.

the secondary hub do not have distsrv.

 

Bad example 2.

 

snmpcollector running in a secondary hub.

the secondary hub has distsrv.

the secondary distsrv has snmpcollector package.

 

Good example 1.

 

snmpcollector running in a secondary hub.

the secondary hub has distsrv.

the secondary distsrv do not have snmpcollector package.

Hi Yu,

 

What is an acceptable "time to open" for snmpcollector?

I am getting roughly

   1.15 seconds from launching "configure"

   2.10 seconds from opening "profiles"

   3.7 seconds to open a profile

   4. 10 seconds per metric drill down in a profile.

 

These numbers are very bad to me and my customer is not happy.

I have tried all these "work arounds" but no luck as yet.

 

Any other suggestions?

additional info.

 

we have hotfix (mps_webapp-8.5.1.zip) available for the problem.

we work to have this available in hotfix download page.

we have identified root cause and the fix would be part of the next uim release.
