Intelligence Reporting Tool

 

Dear Customer,

 

CA Technologies continues to look for ways to improve its
products to better meet your needs. In an effort to do so, we are happy to
introduce a new reporting tool, CA Business Intelligence 6.x. CA Business
Intelligence continues as the name for our reporting tool, however CA Business
Intelligence 6.x is based on a new reporting engine. CA Business Intelligence
6.x will be packaged with some of our security products as noted in the
chart below.

 

We will no longer distribute CA Business Intelligence 4.x
(CABI 4.x) as of April 1, 2016, and will begin to distribute CA Business
Intelligence 6.x (CABI 6.x). We will continue to support existing CABI 4.x
customers through its end of service on December 31, 2018.

 

Below is a list of security products, which specifies the
plans for CABI support.

Hi James,

As per the announcement above, CA Data Protection 15.1 SP1 is now available with CABI 6.x - that is downloadable through your support.ca.com portal.

As for your specific enquiry about downloading CABI 4.x for use with CA Data Protection 15.1, here is what you will need to do:

 

After April 1, 2016, existing customers should contact CA Customer Care online at http://www.ca.com/us/customer-care.aspx where they can submit an online request using the Customer Care web form: https://communities.ca.com/web/guest/customercare. They can also call CA Customer Care at +1-800-225-5224 in North America or see http://www.ca.com/phone for the local number in your country

It appears we can't even download a version of Business Objects to test a POC with the latest 15.1 version of CA Data Protection.

A bit of an oversight I think

When can we have a release of the product with reports?

I tried to download CABI 4.x that is bundled as part of CA DataMinder 14.5, 14.6 and 15.0 so I could demo the data warehouse.

We are fully licensed to use this product as part of the 14.5 package.

 

Please would you explain how I can obtain the software we are entitled to use under our license agreement?
