This document applies to the Identity Manager Unix V2 connector.
When creating a new account and you want to specify the UID for the user rather than have it auto assigned, it is not enough to enter a number in the UID Field.
You must first change the settings on the account General Tab 2 or in the Account Template to set the parameter 'UID Mode'
Set this drop down value to "Set UID "The UID Mode is set by default to use the next free UID. If you don't change the mode, then the UID will be selected for you.
