While upgrading cdm to version 5.70 or higher, due to the dependency with the vs2010sp1_vcredist_x64(x86) package, a server reboot may be experienced.
In order to avoid this behavior, a workaround has been provided as a KB:
http://www.ca.com/us/support/ca-support-online/product-content/knowledgebase-articles/tec1664825.aspx
UIM SP2 has the vs2010sp1 build 4 in it's package or you can do what is listed in the tech article above or redownload and overwrite the 2 vs2010sp1 in your Archive as the online Archive has build 4 as well.
The latest cdm is 5.72. In its release notes, you can see the reference to the issue we are describing here. As mentioned by my colleague above, the issue is not with cdm but with the package it needs (vs2010).
In a nutshell, the latest version of cdm doesn't have a fix for the bug created by vs2010, but its release notes are updated so customers are aware of it. As a workaround, you can use the article posted in this thread.
Finally, I don't have any ETA on the next cdm release.
Best regards,
Balta.
Is there any plan to fix the bug in next version ,If means when will the cdm version will be released.
From the local archive download vs2010sp1_vcredist_x64(x86) from the online archive which is build 4.
cdm has a dependency on the vs2010... and it is that and not cdm which initiates the restart
From the release notes.
Is this true when using MCS also? If so, what's the workaround?
