"Interesting solution.  I don’t know enough about the alternatives posted by others, some which do away with time slices altogether" - it was just that I had seen this advertised on linkedin that I thought if sharing, and yes, I agree with "Until CA provides an alternative, this could be a workaround if push comes to shove, here."

This is a workaround - the solution is to replace the current blob/timeslicing technology with something else.  See Idea:  Replace outdated Blob, Time Slice and Datamart technology with modern Database Sparse Matrices and Data Cubes100Under review
