This binary is provided under to the Eclipse Public License, v 1.0.

WHAT IT IS

This is a fully functional extension for CA APM Java agents to display the available processors.

You can use this counter to determine how many cores are currently being managed by CA APM.

The extension works regardless of whether aggregate CPU metrics are enabled.

INSTALLATION

Copy CPUCounter.jar to /path/to/agent/wily/core/ext and restart the JVM.

If you read the description, this FP is designed to show the number of available processors/cores to the JVM, not utilization.

Utilization metrics come from the platform monitor extensions that come prepackaged with the agent.

I hope that clarifies things.

Mr. Davis

I am interested in the field pack to show CPU utilization on a Websphere APM 9.5.x agent running on Zlinux (Suse). but when i copied it over and restarted the JVM all I saw in Introscope what Total Available processors. I was looking to use the "utilization %" metric since the Websphere APM 9.5 agent does not support Zlinux even though we got it to work, but its missing the CPU metrics. Any thoughts?

thx

Jose
