Tech Tip - Querying an OID with Snmpcollector v3.20 Probe Utility no longer work as in the previous versions.

Jul 19, 2016 11:17 AM

Introduction/Summary:

After the upgrade of the snmpcollector probe to 3.20 querying an OID as in the previous versions is failing.

Background:

In the previous versions of the probe, query_oid used to work only by adding the Hostname, the Port, the SnmpVersion, the CommunityName and the OID.

Environment:

UIM 8.4

Snmpcollector 3.20

Instructions:

In v3.20 the SnmpType has to be added manually and it can be get”, “getnext”, “index”, or “table”.

We are changing this in v3.2.1 to mimic the behavior of 2.2x.
