Step by Step instructions to install CAIM 12.6.7/12.6.8 and IDP 1.6.x on WAS 8.5.5 running on RedHat

Aug 22, 2016 12:34 PM

Hi

As per several request, here are my install guide for CAIM 12.6.7/12.6.8 and IDP 1.6.x

I have selected these version as they are only work on WebSphere 8.5.5 but the following notes can be used for older version on WAS 7.x as well

The following example is from a customer with Oracle as the DB solution.

Important disclaimers and notes:

  1. The following example is a customer specific and some of the information here might not be relevant, especially the performance tuning part so please use discretion when using these instructions.

  2. I have added a new optional section to change the message bus from single DB based BUS to multiple file based BUSes. this step is optional and should only be used if you experiencing repeated failures on the bus.

Please let me know if you have more questions

thanks

Itamar

Hi

these files exist in the Portal installation directory.

If you run the CAIP installer and select the extract only option, once it is done, you will be able to find the files in the \IdentityPortal directory or if you use the upgrade package, the files are location under the /App Server Persistence files directory

thanks
