    the SPECTRUM spm field Last run result for URL tests in SPM TEST module does not update.

    I'm using the SPM module with VCAIM 12.6 and systemedge 5.9 to test URLs ( http/https ),

    however I have observed that the last run result field of several tests has been outdated.

    I already restarted the service, we recreated the configuration cf and nothing solved.

    I have two servers, both having the same situation, each server with about 350 URL tests

    see attached print

    Any suggestion ?

    Hello Cassio,

    Why are you still running VCAIM 12.6? This version is EOS.

    The SRM (Service Response Monitoring) AIM (Application Insight Modules) plugin should be in the same version as the SystemEDGE agent (12.9/5.9).

    When you create a SPM - HTTP/HTTPS test, it is actually saved on the SRM AIM plugin. The SystemEDGE+SRM plugin will run the scheduled test and store its result in the SystemEDGE MIB.
    Then Spectrum will poll that particular OID in theSystemEGE MIB to get the result of the test.

    Did you review the events tab to see what events are being generated on the RTM_TestHost model (your HTTP/HTTPS test)?

    Did you review the jcollector.log file on the SystemEDGE+SRM host?
    In the svcrsp.cf file you can specify the log level.

    Hi "Silvio",

    Yes, we are aware of EOS.

    The strangest thing is that not all tests are showing this SPM Duplicate Result Event message. And the log is already in Debug, but without much guidance.

    I increased the debug level from 4 to 7 , without identifying SPM Duplicate Result Event entries.

    Hi Cassio,

    The Spectrum retrieves the value of the numberOfPktsSent object from the device/host that runs the tests. If the value has not been incremented, then the test result value is from the previous test (duplicate). Somehow the device/host has not run the scheduled test yet.

    • SPM Duplicate Result Event (0x0456005b)
      Occurs when SPM reads the test results and detects that the numberOfPktsSent object on the device has not increased. The operational state on the device is also read and found to be Active. This event is generated, and the following actions occur:
    • No data is processed.
    • Schedule state on the SPM test remains Enabled; therefore data is processed from the next scheduled test.
