  • 1.  Service Catalog - Very Slow Performance

    hello.

    Just wondering if anyone is/have encountered performance issues with Service Catalog. Navigating through the offerings and selecting an offering is way too slow..  TTFB (Time to First Byte) to load each of these pages is taking more than 10s.. sometime reaching 20 s.... We have already updated configuration files base on the performance tuning recommendation from SC however, the problem still persist.  Problem seems to be on the server (processing) side... as we see no latency on the network and/or storage. Any assistance/recommendation would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Kenneth,
    did you already look what Catalog-logs say?
    Are there any DB-problems?
    If you are running in virtualized environment, does virtualization show any problems?
    What's about CPU-/Storage usage on Catalog- and/or DB-Server?

    And ... what Service Management version are you running? 17.3 RU??

    Hello and Good Morning Sir,

    Thank you very much for the response.

    We are at RU12.

    I have a ticket opened and they will be escalating this the engineering team. Had a webex session yesterday and are not seeing anything that stand out in the logs (in trace mode)... Resources are normal on all of the components (App Server, EEM, DB Server). No latency on storage. Thus, at this point, we don’t know what/where the issue is/are. Note that we do not have any performance issues for SDM which shares the same MDB on the same DB server. Only for SC.
