  • 1.  REST API not working

    Posted Sep 19, 2023 02:24 AM

    Hello community,
we have 2 onpromise installations, one on Clarity 16.1.2, the other 16.1.3. We wanted to start working with REST API.
On both sites the address http://[SERVER]/ppm/rest/v1 are not working. (in german: Diese Seite funktioniert im Moment nicht.)
    The address http://[SERVER]/niku/rest/describe/index.html IS working.

Do we have to activate somewhere something?

    Thanks for your help.
    Uwe

If you go to Administration --> system Options --> what is showing under the "Rest API Status" - is it showing "Enabled" for you?

The error "Diese Seite funktioniert im Moment nicht" means - "This page is not working at the moment" - So this might be a temporary glitch, try clearing the caches.

Status is enabled, caches cleared, no change

What you mean by not working. what happen if you hit http://10.61.63.46/ppm/rest/v1/describe and using any of the authentication methods supported via any rest client tools.

    Hi Uwe,

How did you put it to the test? It will not work if you go to the URL <Application URL>/ppm/rest/v1. You must authenticate, select Rest API method, and provide the object on which to do the action. Simply try to get to the project details using the Postman app to see whether it works.

    Thanks

    Senthil

Thanks a lot for your replies. Downloaded Postman Client and authentification and read project list works!
Have to dive deeper into this subject ...
