I am being asked to explain exactly what this file does. I have a general idea however could use official documentation.

I have tried to find pertinent documentation, however, can find non. Is a source that someone know that can describe this file and how it affects the CA PAM system?

Hi Everton, The patch looks for discrepancies between user entries stored in the two databases (one for Credential Management and one for access Access) and will attempt to resolve them if found. Such discrepancies can cause problem with user logons, or with imported user group refreshes. This is a one-time action while the patch gets applied. It doesn't install or update any file. The patch is to be applied only in the context of a Support case, and the Support case would have the details on why it was applied and which problem specifically needed to be resolved. Because the patch application should be controlled by PAM Support, there are not published release notes for it.

Hi Everton, This patch doesn't install any files and there is nothing left behind to delete, other than the patch history entry. It is useful information to know at what time this patch was applied. We wouldn't want to remove it from the history.
