    Hello All

Does spectrum provide the option to capture configuration for HP Aruba WLC and Access points.

If do then any scripts available to test will help.

    Thanks
    Manish

There are some examples for CLI/SSH scripts that connect and collect running and startup configuration for devices. Those should be used as reference and changed according the specific CLI requirements for every new device family that should be configured.

The scripts are all Perl based, and can be test/worked for from command line for validation purposes.

    Hello Manish,
    Do you also have VNA?
Starting from the upcoming NetOps release Aruba controllers and APs will be monitored by a corresponding VNA plugin via API

    Hi Nikita

No we don't have VNA as of now , with Spectrum without VNA can we monitor these HP Aruba devices like we do for Cisco.

    Thanks
    Manish

You can monitor those devices with SNMP, but the monitoring will be limited in comparison with the API monitoring with the plugin.
Do you need to monitor only configuration of APs and WLCs?

I was able to make use of the built in SSH capability within NCM, so no Perl script necessary.  I created a new device/script family and then added the following:

You probably need to add some comparison masks for "key ....." since those are all the changes you see but it worked for what we needed.

What do you mean by "there's no Perl script necessary"? The defaults for SSH are all Perl scripts. There might not be necessary to change it, but it is Perl nevertheless.

    Network Configuration Manager Self Certification

From 10.3.1 release, the Network Configuration Manager feature is enhanced to support capturing and managing network configurations for your custom device families by using simple SSH commands. Previously, enabling NCM support for devices did not come with an out of the box NCM support. With this enhancement, users can now enable NCM support for any SSH enabled device by using custom device family and by providing commands in the OneClick view without having to use scripts. You can use the SSH commands to capture and upload the configurations for custom devices which are SSH capable. The SSH commands for respective devices can be obtained from an administrator of the network.
