  • 1.  How to enable HTTPS for the EEM Admin Console

    Posted Dec 07, 2022 11:31 AM
Hello ... Could someone please point me to the documentation on configuring the EEM admin console to use HTTPS (+ server certificate; PFX or otherwise)?  Our network security only allows for HTTPS sites and the out-of-the-box configuration for EEM uses HTTP.  In fact, whenever we try to go to an HTTP site, some policy on the network or within the browser redirects to HTTPS.
In other words, instead of using "http://localhost:5250/spin/eiam", I want to use "http://localhost:5250/spin/eiam" with a server certifcate (PFX or otherwise). Thank You.

    Hi,
You can connect using https. The only caveat is that EEM uses a self-signed certificate, so your broawser probably complains.
You can either add the self-signed certificate to your trusted root certificates store, or have the self-signed certificate signed by an authority.

    Hi Scott,

By default EEM installation is starts the server in HTTPS mode though you can still try to access admin console in HTTP mode which is again redirected to HTTPS mode.

May I know the EEM version if you are observing a different behavior than the above?
