that's interesting, and looks like it provides the solution you're looking for. Certainly something i'll be looking to put in place if i can't get LDAP working
one point to note is that the instructions indicate that it's just one database trigger that needs to be recompiled after the procedure is loaded rather than a reinstall of the application

Subject: Can we change the password complexity in Applications Manager?
Thank you for your response. Yes I did see that limited functionality but it doesn't allow for such things as make it a minimum of 8 characters or any other added complexities. I did however find the article on how to do this through "user password audits" but support has very little knowledge of this aside from the documented instructions which involve creating a new procedure and reinstalling the application. Just wondering if anyone has done this?

Password settings for AM can be found on the Automation Engine Options tab of the Masters Agent
in terms of setting password complexity, the options are pretty limited though

There is no way to change the password complexity.
I know you have security requirements to take measures to make your environment more secure.
To increase user login security, you can add user login audits. User login audits enforce rules for selecting user passwords. Please refer to the Applications Manager Online Manual
Adding User Password Audits
Please keep in mind that the "custom_password_audits.example" is an example that we provide and that you can use and modify, but we do not provide the custom scripts that are required for you to meet your password criteria (i.e. prevent the re-use of the last 10 passwords).

Is there ability to change the password complexity in Applications Manager for such things like minimal length, allowing for special characters, etc... ?
