    hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has issues deleting devices from Inventory after applying any of the Cumulative patches ?
This is the error, tried the stop/start of discovery_server with same results.

unable to delete a device from OC Inventory

Also restarted wasp on primary and ump/OC

    Thanks

I've the same problem and opened also a ticket
But when using the call back for probe discovery_server "remove_master_device_by_cskey" the delete works fine
(or use the tool: nimsoft_delete_device" that use this callback)

    Thanks both for the info.
    Hopefully a HF is released.
I wonder if dropping down the ump_oc version could help, for now .. ?
I actually patched 3 CU patched in one go, so not sure which one caused it

    Hello All

I have taken ownership of both the cases of Steven and LUC, Let me work with engineering and will update accordingly .

Meanwhile check below >  login Into OC as administrator  and  please check if the administrator user > Acl permission (from OC side) have The Discovery and Discovery Management ACL properties are enabled or not .

Both properties are set (for user and acl administrator)

Either callback can be used to remove devices, remove_master_devices_by_cskeys or remove_master_devices_by_cs_ids.
AC > primary hub > discovery_server > view probe utility in new window.
Both the cskey and cs_id are available from CM_COMPUTER_SYSTEM.
    select * from CM_COMPUTER_SYSTEM where ip = '<device IP address>'
    select * from CM_COMPUTER_SYSTEM where name like '%<device name>%'

Thanks for the workaround. Presumably, removing a device using the above doesn't also Acknowledge alarms and Delete measurements like it does when removing from OC?

I've not checked deleting devices myself but note that it is not possible in CU3 to delete performance report schedules too.

Any details you can give on this. I tried this but it worked for me:

    -created a prd report

-created a schedule for that report to post on server and email

    -ran the report

    -deleted the schedule

I can still delete devices and I've only deployed the UIM Server 20.4 - Cumulative Update 3

never deployed CU2, and question the compatibility with the other packages and so will leave it to development.

    Thanks David
Strange thing is, I don't have that file present in the that location.
Has anyone successfully used this method ?

I able to locate it here

The file was there in my lab, and removing it did restore the ability to delete devices via OC Inventory.
