  • 1.  17.3 and 17.3RU17 - Installation of PAM - Agent does not work

    Posted Dec 08, 2022 07:21 AM
    Hi,
    on a new environment with SM 17.3 and an old installation upgraded to 17.3 RU17 we try to install an PAM-Agent on Catalog-server.
    JRE/JDK ist installed and JAVA_HOME and JRE_HOME are set to point to JAVA-installation.
    C:\Windows\system32>set |findstr _HOME
    JAVA_HOME=C:\Program Files\AdoptOpenJDK\jdk-8.0.265.01-hotspot\
    JRE_HOME=C:\Program Files\AdoptOpenJDK\jdk-8.0.265.01-hotspot\

    When clicking button of Agent-Installation only the file install (without extension) is being downloaded and no installer is started as known with 17.2.

    We tried different browsers but non started installation.

    Is there anything else to be done or do we have an error?

    Regards,
    Peter

    Hi Peter,
    Good morning.

    javaws -verbose <path to downloaded jnlp file>

    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Madhava,
    many thanks for your answer.
    As I have less time for this and many other dings to solve, please have a look at what Paul said in Case#33306742.

    I could agent install with silent/manual method.
    From GUI there no longer is started an exe.
    Dowloaded file must be renamed and started with IceTea.

    Many thanks for your ideas.
    Regards,
    Peter
