How to integrate Ard with Team Foundation Server?   Connected using the Connector 'Team Foundation Server' and able to login to TFS.  but it says you have no correctly configured projects?   Do we need to do any configuration on TFS side?  does it require

    How to integrate Ard with Team Foundation Server?   Connected using the Connector 'Team Foundation Server' and able to login to TFS.  but it says you have no correctly configured projects?   Do we need to do any configuration on TFS side?  does it require any mapping file to be imported in Ard?

     

    Any useful documents?

    Hi Lakshmi, 

     

    Currently the Team Foundation Server (TFS) integration with ARD is in BETA. It will be completely functional in our ARD 2.4 GA release coming out at the end of the month. This is the reason we do not have any documentation on it yet. 

     

    In order to better troubleshoot your issue, I would suggest opening a support case. 

    When you open the support case, please provide the following information: 

     

    1. What is the exact version of ARD you are using?

    2. Can you please enable debugging and send us the resulting log file?
    3. How are you connecting to TFS within ARD?
      • With ARD 2.3, the only way to make the connection work is to ensure the account you are using to connect to tfs is an 'Administration Console User'.
      • This is configured in the 'TFS Administration Console Application' which is installed on your TFS server.
      • You may need the help of your TFS admin to resolve this.
      • Development is aware of this issue and have already completed development work to solve this problem. It should be available in the ARD 2.4 GA release coming out at the end of March.
      • TFS has some unusual security requirements that were unknown when the connector was originally created.
      • The next version of ARD will have the ability for a standard project user to use this integration from ARD.

    4. Do these mappings help?
      • Below are some examples of some mappings you can use.
      • If this does not work in your environment, I would suggest waiting to use the TFS connector until it is available in a future GA release of ARD.





    5. Do the directions in this document help? 
      • These instructions are designed to help with the configuration of Microsoft Team Foundation Server and a few other connectors.
      • 'Agile Requirements Designer Integrations Configuration' doc is attached.
