In Fault tolerance concept:
While installing secondary server we need to give the primary server name in the MLS field ?
This statement is correct or not.
Hi,
Yes.
Verify that the MAIN_LOCATION_HOST_NAME parameter in the .locrc file on the secondary SpectroSERVER server points to the same system name as the .locrc file on the primary SpectroSERVER. Otherwise, synchronization fails.

That statement is correct, if you only have 1 landscape (or a fault tolerant pair in this situation). However, if you have a distributed environment (DSS) with more than 1 landscape, it may not be true. In all DSS, we need to choose one of the SS to be the MAIN location server (MLS). The MLS is responsible for maintaining the landscape map and communicating that to the other SS and oneClick servers in the DSS and other clients. Each SS will also have a location server (LS) but the LS and MLS are different. The LS on each SS in the DSS, communicates with the MLS to ensure that each one has the same landscape map.
