Decimals not reflecting in CA Clarity pages

An attribute was already created in custom object with data type number, and data was entered for the same attribute. Later when this number was converted into decimal, this is not reflecting in Properties Layout. The attribute is still reflecting as number without decimals.

 

I have made these changes in older versions and was success. But now we are in Clarity version 13.3

 

Any suggestions..

What is the user locale ?

 

Locale UK: decimal separator is a . (dot)
When you enter 1.5 this remains as 1.5
When you enter 1,5 thsi gets translated to 15
Locale Spain: decimal separator is a , (comma)
When you enter 1,5 this remains as 1,5
When you enter 1.5 this gets translated to 15
Based on the locale, the user should enter the decimal separator when entering non integers.

Just tried that in the Community v13.3 sandbox with a custom object. No problem

Create Number attribute

Set decimals to 0

Add attribute to edit view

Enter value 125 for the attribute in one instance

Save and return.

Change the decimals of the attribute to 2

Remove the attribute from the edit view

Save edit view

Publish

Open the previous instance

Number attribute displayed as 125.00

Hello Nidhin,

                      The steps mentioned by you are working fine on Clarity v13.3 server.

After changing the integer to decimal (places) it is showing the values with 2 decimal places both on Properties view as well as on List view.

 

Please update if it's working for you as well...

That clicked . I removed the fields from edit view > published  and added the fields, and published again. Its working fine now
